The 2019 Koenigsegg Regera is an extraordinary fusion of cutting-edge hybrid technology, Swedish engineering, and bespoke luxury – built for drivers who demand the ultimate blend of speed, sophistication and exclusivity.
Performance & Engineering
At its heart sits a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, paired with three electric motors and an 800-volt battery system. Together they produce over 1,500 horsepower and more than 2,000 Nm of torque on E85 fuel.
The Regera eschews a traditional multi-gear transmission in favour of Koenigsegg’s patented “Direct Drive” single-speed setup, delivering seamless power to the rear wheels.
Acceleration is brutal: 0-100 km/h occurs in around 2.7-2.8 seconds, and the official top speed is in the region of 400 km/h (≈249 mph). A documented 0-400-0 km/h run was achieved in 31.49 seconds, underlining its megacar credentials.
Exterior & Materials
The Regera’s body is sculpted for both aerodynamic efficiency and visual impact, with carbon-fibre monocoque construction and active aero features including a deployable rear wing, active flaps and adjustable ride height. The visual presence is dramatic, while the technology is top tier.
Production is extremely limited — only 80 units worldwide — making every example a collector’s item.
Interior & Luxury
Inside the cabin, bespoke craftsmanship meets hypercar performance. Premium leathers and Alcantara combine with exposed carbon-fibre, machined aluminium controls and an advanced driver-focused interface. Despite its extreme performance, the Regera offers more comfort and refinement than many of its pure track-oriented peers.
