Description
Track DNA. Open-Air Emotion. Engineering Excellence.
The 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider combines the raw performance of Ferrari’s track-focused Pista with the exhilaration of open-top driving. It’s a lightweight, uncompromising supercar designed for those who want to experience the thrill of racing with the wind in their hair — a perfect blend of agility, precision, and emotion.
Performance & Engineering
At its heart lies a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 710 horsepower (720 CV) and 770 Nm of torque. This engine — derived directly from Ferrari’s 488 Challenge race car — holds the title of “Best Engine in the World” for multiple consecutive years.
Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission, it propels the car from 0–100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds and reaches a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).
The 488 Pista Spider weighs around 1,380 kg, achieved through extensive use of carbon fibre and titanium components. Its finely tuned aerodynamics — including the S-Duct front design and active rear diffuser — provide exceptional downforce and stability, making it one of the sharpest-handling open-top Ferraris ever built.
Design & Aerodynamics
The 488 Pista Spider’s design is functional beauty at its finest. Every surface is sculpted for aerodynamic efficiency, from the aggressive front splitter to the rear spoiler and underbody diffuser. The iconic “S-Duct” channels air through the front of the car, increasing downforce by more than 20% compared to the 488 Spider.
Its signature twin racing stripes, lightweight forged wheels, and exposed carbon details visually communicate its racing pedigree while maintaining Ferrari’s signature elegance.
Interior & Craftsmanship
Inside, the cabin embodies minimalist race-inspired luxury. Weight-saving materials dominate — carbon fibre, Alcantara, and bare aluminium — yet craftsmanship remains exquisite. The driving environment is focused and immersive, with controls mounted directly on the steering wheel for maximum concentration.
The result is a cockpit that feels both raw and refined — a direct extension of Ferrari’s racing DNA.
