Description
Elite Hybrid Hypercar. Ultimate Engineering. Future Classic.
The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder stands as one of the most technologically advanced supercars ever created — a masterpiece that blends hybrid innovation, race-bred engineering, and handcrafted luxury into a single breathtaking machine.
Performance & Engineering
At its core lies a 4.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine paired with two electric motors — one at the front axle and another at the rear. Together, they generate a combined output of 887 hp and 1,280 Nm of torque, delivering explosive performance with remarkable efficiency.
Power is transmitted through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox, sending drive to all four wheels for maximum traction.
The 918 Spyder accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of around 345 km/h (214 mph). Despite its immense power, it offers hybrid driving modes for smooth electric operation or full performance on demand.
Design & Materials
Built around a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, the 918 achieves both lightness and rigidity. Every surface is sculpted for aerodynamic efficiency, with active elements adjusting dynamically to enhance performance and stability.
An optional Weissach Package further reduces weight using magnesium wheels, titanium components, and lightweight interior materials, pushing the car’s capability even further on track.
Interior & Technology
Inside, the cabin reflects Porsche’s signature balance of function and luxury. High-grade leather, Alcantara, and exposed carbon-fibre line the interior, complemented by digital displays and intuitive controls.
The hybrid system offers several modes — E-Power, Hybrid, Sport Hybrid, Race Hybrid, and Hot Lap — allowing drivers to tailor the experience from silent EV cruising to all-out performance.
